The products within the SIBONI PLANETS provide the basis for the realization of a vast array solutions using different yet mutually compatible technologies.
- RAW PLANET, the dc brushed motors planet, is home to three different lines of permanent-magnet dc motors which define an important qualitative standard in terms of the ease of use and cost containment, especially when considering the related circuit boards.
- PRO PLANET is home to our permanent-magnet synchronous brushless motors with electronic commutation, also known as ac brushless. Our motors are highly performant and dynamic, fundamental requirements for constantly evolving industrial automation applications. PRO PLANET goes beyond offering stand-alone motors, also offering an integrated solution, PRO LAB, which combines our different product lines in one mechatronic unit: a brushless motor, a planetary gearbox and on-board integrated electronics to control the unit.
- NXT PLANET is home to our precision planetary gearboxes and the development of our gearboxes is closely linked to that of our motors to guarantee the best performance not just of both products individually but when they are combined. We have a vast range of planetary gear units that can be coupled with our RAW PLANET and PRO PLANET electric motors, or can be coupled to other manufacturers’ electric motors.
In 2017, we launched the new line NXR GEAR, which completes our range of in-line planetary gearboxes. Our research for new and innovative gearboxes continues and we are eagerly awaiting the presentation of our next gearbox project in 2019.
- DIA PLANET is home to our torque or direct drive motors where we develop the concept of the brushless motor diametrically (DIA Line) as opposed to longitudinally (PRO LINE). We are aware that direct drive motors pose competition to NXT PLANET products, but our mission to produce innovative and technological solutions for our industrial automation customers requires that we provide our customers with the solution that best suits their applications.
RAW PLANET / DC MOTORS
RAW PLANET is home to our brushed permanent magnet dc motors. There are three lines: TRA DC are brushed permanent magnet dc motors (using ferrite magnets) dedicated to traction, whilst the two lines RAW DC and RED DC have been optimized for use as servomotors in industrial automation applications. The RED DC line uses NdFeB magnets resulting in a relationship between the dimensions of the motor and the performance obtained which is amongst the highest in the category, whilst the RAW DC line uses ferrite magnets where the cost issue is more important than the performance.
PRO PLANET / BRUSHLESS SERVOMOTORS
PRO PLANET is home to a range of products based on brushless permanent magnet synchronous motorization, i.e. ac brushless. PRO LINE identifies the stand-alone brushless motors and is divided into two series according to the size of the motors and their polarity: PRO LINE ONE up to 3 Nm, PRO LINE TWO from 4Nm up to 50 Nm.
A series of integrated motors which combine our PRO LINE motors with on-board integrated electronics have been developed and these mechatronic solutions are in the PRO LAB series.
NXT PLANET / PLANETARY GEARBOXES
NXT PLANET is home to our range of precision planetary gearboxes.
The RE series, the first and highly successful gearbox series produced by Siboni, was designed to ensure a strong load transmission. The NXT series, the second series of Siboni gearboxes, was designed to ensure a higher dynamic response than the RE series and meet the specific needs of industrial automation applications.
In 2017 Siboni completed the range of planetary gearboxes with the launch of the NXR series, which combines the specific design features of the aforementioned series.
DIA PLANET / DIAMETRICALLY EXPANDED BRUSHLESS MOTORS
DIA PLANET is home to the DIA LINE series which offers superficial permanent-magnet synchronous motors (SPM-SM ) with high torque density. This high torque density is a consequence of the high number of poles and the electromagnetic design of the motors, which results in the assignment of the specific groove-pole combination designed by Siboni technicians. This combination drastically reduces the cogging torque and optimizes the power density.
